Mock Trial Team Ends Successful Season

Several months ago an invitation for a mock trial seminar at Harvard was sent to my school. Emily Cegielski, Saige Pilgrim and I, being mock trial fanatics, knew we could not pass up such an offer. Before long we had plane tickets to Boston.

Harvard Mock Trial Places Third In National Championship

Harvard Mock Trial’s self-titled Team Courageous placed third in the American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) National Championship in Des Moines, Iowa over the weekend—the best that any Harvard team has ever done.

Harvard’s Mock Trial ‘A’ team landed second place in the annual American Mock Trial Association National Championship, losing to the University of Virginia by one point in a tie-break decision—the closest competition in league history.

Harvard's First Mock Trial

A mock trial, conducted almost entirely by Harvard graduates, will be given under the auspices of the local post of the Grand Army, in Union Hall, March 27. E. B. Hale L. S. '75 will be the presiding judge and W. E. Russell '77 and J. J. Myers '69 will be associate judges. W. A. Bancroft '78 and L. G. Blair '78 will be the lawyer and associate on one side and E. R. Champlin '80 and W. E. Hutchins '79 on the other. A. M. Howe '69 will be clerk of the court.

Mock Trial Team Scores Victory At Nationals

Living up to their label of “Team Courageous,” seven members of the Harvard Mock Trial team defeated the competition at the National Intercollegiate Mock Trial Tournament in Richmond, Ky. this past weekend and managed to score Harvard’s first victory in a national tournament.
